Emotional Control: Lock Your Account When You Hit Your Daily Target

TGReplicator's daily profit and loss targets, with two accounts automatically locked (Blocked) after hitting their limit.

How many times have you hit your target for the day… and then given it all back by staying in the market? Trading isn't won on strategy alone — it's won, and kept, with emotional discipline. Most traders don't blow up for lack of technical analysis; they blow up because they can't stop after a win, or because they try to win it back after losing too much.

That's exactly why we built one of TGReplicator's most powerful features: an automatic account lock that triggers the moment the account hits your daily profit target or loss limit.

The real problem: emotion beats the plan

Picture a very common scenario:

  • You're up +$800 in your evaluation or funded account.
  • Your plan says: “today I stop at +$600.”
  • You see one “clear” setup, and you take it.
  • The market turns against you.
  • You end the day in the red — or, at best, near break-even.

Or the reverse: you're down $400 and decide to “make it back fast.” The result is usually the same. Manual discipline fails exactly when you need it most — which is why the solution can't depend on your willpower in the heat of the moment.

How the automatic lock works

In TGReplicator you set two numbers, independently for each account (master or follower):

  • A daily profit target (say +$500, +$1,000, or whatever percentage you use).
  • A daily loss limit (your stop for the day).

The instant the account reaches either of those levels, TGReplicator locks it automatically. “Locking” means:

  • It stops copying trades from the master.
  • No new positions can be opened on that account from the copier.
  • Open positions are handled according to your settings (close them, let them run, etc.).
  • The lock is immediate and applies independently to each account in the group.

So you could run an evaluation account with a +$600 target and a –$400 stop, a funded account with a +$1,200 target, and a personal account with completely different rules. Each one locks itself the moment it hits its number.

Why this feature changes the game

  • It kills overtrading after a win: you no longer rely on “that's enough for today” — the system does it for you.
  • It protects your capital on bad days: the daily stop becomes an unbreakable rule, not a good intention.
  • It works across several accounts at once: perfect if you run evaluations, funded and personal accounts together, each with its own limit.
  • It lowers your stress: once the account locks, you can walk away. There is no “one more.”
  • It's 100% configurable: you set the numbers; the system just enforces them — no mercy, no emotion.

The perfect complement: Auto-Flat and account groups

Emotional control pairs naturally with two other TGReplicator tools:

  • Safety Auto-Flat: automatically closes every position at a set time (say, 3:45 PM New York).
  • Account groups: multiple masters and multiple follower groups, each with its own sizing and lock rules.

The result is a risk-management and discipline system that works even when you're not watching the screen.

The takeaway

The difference between a trader who survives long-term and one who doesn't is almost never the indicator or the setup — it's respecting the plan when emotion is screaming the opposite. TGReplicator doesn't just copy your trades in under 50 ms; it also helps you become the disciplined trader your strategy needs.
